Global Pre-Positioning Resource Network Project with World Vision International

World Vision has committed to improving its emergency logistics support through the Global Prepositioning and Resource Network (GPRN). This project pairs the GPRN and researchers at the University of Washington to optimize GPRN processes and improve its support of emergency response efforts in the field. This section describes the motivation for this project and the background that shapes its goals and focus.

To achieve this, we plan to use an approach that relies on User Centered Design which will focus on understanding people. There are several different steps the process will go through to achieve the final end product. These steps include  inventory of existing data assets, stakeholder interviews, determining key performance indicators, conducting gap analysis to identify essential elements of the chain, and proposing the information framework and practical solutions for reaching the desired information end-state.

Benefits

The results of this assessment will identify the HEA supply chain information requirements and provide the basic foundation for testing and determining technical solutions.
