Additional support for the conference comes from the recently established University of Washington Interdisciplinary Committee on Safety and Security Research and Education (UWS2). Many faculty members of this group will serve as panelists or speakers at SASER 2008.
The purpose of the UWS2 consortium is to foster the exchange of ideas, research and educational opportunities, and future plans among faculty and students who are committed to building fields of study related to regional, national, and international safety and security. With graduate faculty representatives from 9 schools or colleges and 16 departments or units, this interdisciplinary committee connects the UW community with our external partners and stakeholders.
