There are a variety of methods for getting to the conference. If you are local,
you might choose to drive, bus, bike, or walk. If you are a visitor, perhaps
you’re interested in taking a cab, using a hotel shuttle, or taking the bus.
Explore a variety of options below:
Driving (and Parking) Parking costs $12 per day, if you choose to park on campus. If you require driving directions, the University of Washington has directions that accomodate your point of origin (whether you're coming from the north, south, or east): click here. Once on this page, select your point of origin, then choose "Central Campus including Meany Theatre, Kane Hall, Suzzallo and Allen Libraries, the HUB and the Henry Art Gallery" as your destination (since the conference sessions will be held in Kane Hall).
If you would like to see a PDF wayfinding map for the Central Plaza Garage (the on-campus parking location), please click here.
Further driving and parking information can be found at the UW Commuter Services web page.
If you do not wish to park on campus, there are other places to park. There are parking lots along 15th Avenue, or there is street parking available on the streets around campus. Fees vary depending on where you park. Back to transportation options list
Bus (Metro) Metro, the Seattle bus system, has a very helpful website that can help you figure out how to use the city's buses. If you would like to sort out your personal Metro itinerary, please visit the Metro website. From there, you can either use the Trip Planner feature to get specific route instructions, or look up the Timetables, if you already know your desired buses.

Walking or Biking Most hotels are located only four blocks from campus. If the weather's nice, you might consider walking to campus. Google Maps can give you directions on how to get to campus: if you click here and enter your starting address, Google Maps will tell you how to get to Kane Hall.
If you live nearby and choose to bike to campus, please note that there are bike racks located throughout campus, including next to Kane Hall and the University Faculty Club, the two on-campus locations for conference sessions. If you are staying at the University Inn or the Watertown, please note that these hotels have bikes available to rent. Back to transportation options list
